Plumen

The BEDG, through their area at the ICFF, provided the perfect platform to launch Plumen in North America. Having had a lot of interest from the States, it was really important for us to get out there. However, with a small team and even smaller budget it is very hard to do. The BEDG not only made it possible, they made it easy. The preparations for, and running of, the show were simple and straightforward. Whenever there was even the slightest problem either Pamela or Karin were on hand to sort it out. I'm looking forward to another successful show at M&O in Sept. 2011.

Drawn from the unique ‘Projet de Tissage’ in Burkina Faso, this exhibition brings together for the first time in the UK, the story of the ancient textile traditions and heritage of West Africa and its survival in the 21st Century.
